#87: No, I don't have a penny but I'll show you a good time.

Are you swallowing your saliva now? You should, it's so tasty! Scroll down this post to read about it ;)

[I shall now set a self imposing action on not to write much of sappy posts with complex and sometimes irrelevant metaphors. Once in a blue moon would do; ohh I hope (I know that's not gonna happen, but whatever). Or you can just get those novels off my hands, and hand me over some educational, factual sheets to abstain from my dramatic self. Ahh, that would do, considering I am aiming for Dean's List or a 4.0 for the next semester :D]

Anyhow, I decided to appeal to stay in one of the UM's Residential Colleges. I had like 9th College and 12th College in mind. Well, I picked 9th because it's outside of the campus, also it's near to my Geology Department and most of my friends are there! And 12th, basically it's because; it is the most comfortable residential college in UM. So, took a half-day leave on Wednesday and Pakka picked me up from office. We went to UM to appeal and apparently, we have to go there again during the Juniors' Halauansiswa. Sucky much? So ma-fan. We met Ibal & Acap at 9th College. It was good to see familiar faces and did few catch-ups. Oh how I miss UM Geology terribly! :S

Later that day, (here comes the above drooling banana leaf rice picture post); we decided to give Alin a visit at her workplace in Bangsar Village. Aaaahh it was so good! :D I miss seeing all these faces! ;) Pakka and I then decided to have lunch at our favourite Banana Leaf Rice Restaurant; Sri Nirwana Maju Restaurant, located at Jalan Telawi, Bangsar (right opposite Bangsar Village II, a row with Chawan, Madam Kwan & Baskin Robbins) :)

This. Dear friends and readers, is the best banana leaf rice in town!

They serve rice on banana leaf with a choice of dhal or curry (but you can usually choose both coz it's definitely nicer that way; not too plain, not too spicy), also with 3 types of different Southern Indian styled vegetables and few crispy poppadoms! My favourite side dish here would totally be the fried eggplants & bitter grouds! They fry all the different types of eggplants and bitter grouds with spices; giving them the crispy bitterness, savory and sweetness combo. Can you now imagine how tasty that feels? Yes yes! :D Everytime I munch those stuffs, I feel as though I am the happiest girl on Earth, hahaha ;) We also added fried chicken to our meal (they also serve other deep fried stuffs; squids, fish and etc. Also other Indian dishes like spicy chicken masala).

The reason why I love having lunch here with Pakka is because (no, this picture was taken way back before this lunch); he will give me all the fried eggplants & bitter grouds since he dislikes it. Weirdo. Hahaha!

The price would be a total of RM 15/person together with drinks and fried chicken as an additional side dish. I have tried the banana leaf rice at Raju's PJ and also Kanna's Curry House but my heart still pick Nirwana Bangsar as the favourite (mainly because of the special fried eggplant! and also the location, center of the shopping heaven; think of the pretty boutiques around Telawi Street; also as it is nearby UM).
For you who have not try this tasty Southern Indian dish yet, I suggest you to give it a try here at Nirwana ;)

P/S: I got the offer to stay in UM 11th Residential College for the coming semester. Oh well, better than nothing ey? ;)

Loves, xx
